Overview

Journey to Antarctica at Penguin Cove & Nursery come face-to-feather with our Gentoo penguins, while they showcase playful behaviour and underwater agility.

Replicating the chilly conditions of the Antarctic, complete with specialised lighting that mimics their natural light cycle, our Penguin Cove habitat is multi-level with lots of exciting areas for the penguins to climb and explore, including a slide into the pool.

On land they may waddle, but underwater, Gentoos are sprinters of the sea! Witness their remarkable agility underwater, diving in search of food and reaching speeds of 36km/h.
