Visiting the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo at Dubai Mall was an unforgettable experience for our family. From the moment we entered, we were amazed by the massive aquarium tunnel and the incredible variety of marine life surrounding us. Walking through the tunnel felt like being inside the ocean, with sharks, rays, and colorful fish swimming gracefully all around.
The Underwater Zoo is very well organized and educational, offering a close look at different ecosystems and species. My child especially enjoyed seeing the penguins, crocodiles, and playful otters. The exhibits are clean, well maintained, and designed to be engaging for both children and adults.
The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer questions, which added great value to the visit. Safety measures were clearly in place, and everything felt very professional. The interactive experiences and clear information displays made learning fun and exciting.
Located inside Dubai Mall, the aquarium is easy to access and perfect to combine with shopping or dining. Overall, the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is a must-visit attraction for families and tourists. It offers a wonderful mix of entertainment, education, and awe-inspiring views of marine life. We truly enjoyed every moment and would happily visit again. π π

The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo inside the Dubai Mall is an impressive stop, though it comes with a few caveats. While you can see the massive main tank for free from the mall, buying a ticket gets you into the 48-meter walkthrough tunnel and the Underwater Zoo on the upper level. The tunnel itself is stunning but surprisingly short; you can walk through it in about 10β15 minutes, but the view of the sharks and rays swimming overhead is undeniable.
The real value lies in the Underwater Zoo upstairs. It is split into three zones: Rainforest, Rocky Shore, and Living Ocean. The highlight here is undoubtedly "King Croc," a massive saltwater crocodile that is genuinely awe-inspiring. The presentation and enclosure for him are top-notch. The penguin encounter is cute if you have kids, though the area can feel a bit small.
I recommend the "Explorer" ticket if you want a bit more than just the basics, but skip the glass-bottom boat ride unless you have time to killβitβs a very short loop and doesn't offer a drastically different view than the tunnel.
Crowds can be overwhelming, especially on weekends. Go early on a weekday morning to actually enjoy the exhibits without being jostled. Overall, itβs a bit pricey for the duration (expect to spend about 60β90 minutes total), but itβs a solid, well-maintained attraction that offers a nice break from shopping.
